During our time as an Oldfield dealer, we were always impressed by the quality of construction (including top notch components) and the thoughtfulness behind the design of Paul Gussler’s amps. Though a fairly straight ahead variant of the legendary Fender Deluxe Reverb, the Club Deluxe has a unique voicing that is clear and immediate, but also rich and full. In some respects, this voicing could be characterized as a synthesis of the shimmering definition of the ’65 Deluxe Reverb Reissue and the fatter low end beefiness of the ’68 Deluxe Reverb Reissue. Needless to say, anyone considering a Deluxe Reverb-esque amp, be it a modern reissue or hand-wired “boutiquey” alternative, would be well-advised to check out the Oldfield Club Deluxe, as the value is hard to beat!

Condition:

This amp was well cared for by its previous owner and shows only minimal cosmetic wear (the occasional light scuff on the tolex). Prior to being offered for sale, the amp was gone over in detail by Jeff Bakos of Bakos Amp Works. EXCELLENT Condition.
